Travelling with a wheelchair
Next to the middle door on a bus is a button with the picture of a pram or wheelchair. If you press the button, the the driver gets a signal and knows that it will be necessary to open the middle door for a passenger who uses a wheelchair.

A person accompanying a passenger using a wheelchair may kindly assist the user of the wheelchair in getting on and off the bus. A person accompanying the wheelchair user should, if necessary, attach the wheelchair in the space provided for it. The driver will assist and guide passengers on the correct use of the equipment.

A wheelchair ramp is mechanical and easy to use.
When getting of the bus, stop the bus by pressing the pram button if there is one. This lets the driver know that they should stop more precisely and pay special attention to the fact that someone will be getting off with a wheelchair or walker.
Travelling with a walker
Persons using a walker may enter through the middle door. The customer can press the wheelchair or pram button, which tells the driver to open the middle door for the customer to get on. After getting on the bus, the customer goes to pay their fare to the driver. The driver waits at the stop until the customer has gone back safely to their walker.
Travelling with a pram
Passengers with a pram always get on at the middle door. There is a button marked with a wheelchair or pram next to the middle door. Pressing this will turn on a light telling the driver to open the middle door for a passenger with a pram.
Prams are carried for free in Hämeenlinna public transport but passengers travelling with a pram have to pay their normal fare. The driver will wait at the stop until the passenger has paid and gone back safely to the pram.
Traveling for the visually impaired
The first row of seats on the left in front of the bus are set aside for passengers using a guide dog. Near these seats are buttons located such that it is easy to give the stop signal from the while still seated.
A person assisting a visually impaired passenger may travel free of charge on buses in Hämeenlinna public transport. A visually impaired passenger has to pay their normal fare.
Travelling with an EU disability card
A person assisting a disabled passenger holding an EU disability card may travel free of charge on Hämeenlinna regional public transport if the card is marker with the symbol A. Additional information on the EU disability card can be found here.
